Food transport apps like Swiggy, Zomato, Uber Eats, which have confirmed to be a boon for thousands of hassled time-crunched customers in the metropolis, have additionally been accused of inflicting visitors chaos and disruption. Such is the trouble that residents from areas like Matunga, Ghatkopar, Kandivali, and many others. “Just multiple days ago, the site visitors police cleared several motorcycles parked on the footpaths outdoor restaurants in Kings Circle. We made numerous proceedings to BMC and Traffic police about this, but to no avail,” stated Nikhil Desai, a resident of Matunga.
